Feb. 16 movie: Pirates of the Carribean. Just in case you thought I was some kind of snob who only watches black and white movies or obscure art films. Not so! I'm all about the action movies, and I'm particularly fond of swashbucklers. This one was too much fun. Good swordplay, good effects, funny. I don't have much else to say about it though.

johnny depp as a pirate, *drooooooooooool*!
he's so astoundingly hot in that film that people actually have to remind me that orlando bloom was in it, too.
ooh, i've been dying for you to fix the comments so i could talk about this movie, and now i've gone and forgotten what i wanted to say.
just kidding!
johnny depp is so amazing in this movie... he totally makes it worth watching. but can you believe he was nominated for 'best actor'?!?
I have to admit, I kept wondering where a pirate got so much eyeliner :) But maybe he got that eyeliner tattoo done so he wouldn't need a massive eyeliner supply.
actually, in the latest issue of Bust, there's a little article about khol, which has been around for thousands of years of course. apparently, it's still available. anyway, it's quite plausible that depp's character had a nice supply of khol... however, it doesn't quite seem plausible that his character would be bothered to apply it.
mary and christa and i decided the other night that johnny depp should get a Lifetime Achievement Award for Consistent Hotness In All Of His Films. He's just always totally hot.
