Oh my god I have to see this movie. Ricardo Montalban as the leader of a gang of hippie banditos? Eeee! I bet it's even better than Montalban as the kindly circus man from the later Planet of the Apes movies. And it has Terence Stamp! And Netflix has it! Does it get any better?

Um... you *did* notice that this is from The Onion, right? I didn't think they did "real" news at all.
It's the Onion AV Club, you know, AV as in audio-visual? They do snarky reviews of movies, books, music etc.
Oh Terence Stamp. I once nearly caused a traffic accident in Knightsbridge in London by shrieking at the driver of the car I was in "STOP THIS CAR NOW!!!!" Well, Terence Stamp was standing on the pavement about to cross the road and I wasn't going to simply sit there and whizz by was I? In person he is JUST as charismatic too. Ah - almost within touching distance, happy day!
I think i must have been unclear. I don't read The Onion regularly, and my impression was that their movie reviews, etc. were just as fictional as their news articles. If I was wrong, then just ignore me. :)
Lee: I think they sometimes do fake entertainment stories in theonion.com, but the material in theonionavclub.com is real.
Karen: I went "eee!" when I read that you saw Terence Stamp in the the flesh! Now that is a celebrity sighting.
there's a rumor (spread by stamp in an NPR interview) that the kinks song "waterloo sunset" is about him and... i think it was julie christie that he was seeing at the time it was written?
anyway, that's probably my all time favorite kinks song. but there's evidence that stamp was wrong/lying that it's about him and his girlfriend :)
