on her majesty's secret service

January 1 movie: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I haven't seen all the Bond movies, but of the ones I have seen, this is one of the best. Mostly because of Diana Rigg. Also I like George Lazenby as Bond. It's too bad he didn't do any more Bond movies.

i think Casino Royale compares to this one-- in fact, it may have supplanted OHMSS as my favorite bond-- time will tell :)

I plan to see Casino Royale sooner or later. I, too, like Lazenby as Bond, and Diana Rigg is great in it as well. It's less gimmicky, and I put it at or very near the top of my favorite Bond movies.

Lazenby shows up in a made-for-TV U.N.C.L.E. reunion movie, as "J.B." It's a cameo, of course. He hangs around enough to watch a car crash and murmur, "Shaken, not stirred."

Yes, Lazenby! Finally, I'm not alone.

My first thought after seeing CR: Daniel Craig is the best bond since George Lazenby. CR and OHMSS are definitely two of my fave three Bond flicks. Goldfinger would probably be the third.
