not a good day

I think you all might be getting sick of reading about my dog, so I'm putting this behind a cut, and will try to keep it brief also.

So we had our appt at Cole Park yesterday morning and Thirteen seemed fine. Then yesterday afternoon she had another episode of vomiting and trying to vomit. I called St. Francis and made an appointment for today. Then I had to go out for a couple of hours and when I got back she had had diarrhea. Not much, but still, in terms of her health it's a really bad sign. Also her lame leg suddenly got a whole lot worse. Sometimes she can propel herself to where she needs to go, but if she falls she can't get up. She didn't eat anything at all yesterday, and as far as I know didn't drink anything after the vomiting.

This morning I woke up at 5 and found her lying on the kitchen floor because she couldn't get back to her bed. I just hope she had a drink of water before she fell. I carried her back to her bed, and we brought her food and water just now, but she's not having any of it.

I'm dropping her off at St. Francis this morning and then I'm going to go over there at the end of the day to talk to them. Last night I was upset at the thought of her spending the whole day away from home and away from Jane. But at least she'll be where they can monitor her and get some fluids into her. I'm hoping Georg can get off work early so we can go together. The folks at St. Francis might work their magic and get her eating and drinking again. But it looks like we might be saying goodbye to Thirteen today.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do -- lots of puppy skritches from me!

Oh no, this makes me sad. I hope they can give her the boost she needs.
