March 17 movie: Rear Window. I love this movie. And I don't have much to say about it. Jimmy Stewart is a total jerk to Grace Kelly in the first half of the movie, but then we are talking about Hitchcock. And Thelma Ritter gets all the good lines.

Ross Bagdasarian's greatest film!
I read the story the movie was based on in an Ellery Queen magazine. Cornell Woolrich was capable of greatness, but in this case I think Hitchcock's version had dimensions that weren't in the original. (It was Woolrich's estate that kept the movie out of public view for a number of years, but that's not a factor in my estimation.)
