that's right, you're wrong

July 12 movie: That's Right -- You're Wrong. This movie was delightful! Hilarious, self-referential comedy starring Kay Kyser and his orchestra, Adolphe Menjou, Edward Everett Horton and Lucille Ball. The best part of the movie was at the end when they acted out a segment from Kyser's radio show, "Kay Kyser and his Kollege of Musical Knowledge." It was a musical quiz show, so funny that I wish I could hear whole episodes of the real show.

They'd be happy to sell you a disk of ten shows for $5 (the disks usually have more shows on them, so I guess this is all the shows they could get). Note that there's a free mp3 sample of the show you can click on and download.

Thank you for this link! I am downloading several sample episodes to listen to on my road trip tomorrow, and will place an order (probably a big one) when I get back.

Spending a little more time on that Old Time Radio site and I am blown away. So much music! I think it's going to be a BIG order.
