This is an old amusement park which was closed and turned into a strip mall, but the original signage was retained. The amusement park is listed in Lisa's "Roadside America" guide and we talked about stopping there for lunch on the way up. Good thing we got hungry and stopped earlier, because that would have been disappointing.

Georg thinks that the opening of Enchanted Forest shows up in the John Waters film Pecker. Also, Pru got engaged in the diner across the street. Of which I did not get a photo.

actually, i think it's CRY BABY. oddly enough, some random channel was showing that movie last night but if I'm remembering things correctly (which is always iffy) the grand opening of Enchanted Forest is the scene where Johnny Depp gets arrested and since he was already in jail when i tuned in, i didn't continue watching
