I can't remember if the log is wood, I think the rest of it is fiberglass.

i can see that. the fireplace esp. looks more like fiberglass. but the lines on the hood are so clean i was wondering if they'd actually used wood

Betty is made mostly of wood salvaged from the historic Old Louisville victorian homes we had been working in. Our idea was to pay a tribute to Old Louisville architecture by using the actual materials we had salvaged from our renovation work. No fiberglass was used. Wood, deck screws, liquid nails and exterior paint with clear coat finish, some caulk to clean up the lines. This was a collaborative effort including 12 artists/carpenters/painters. By the way, the log is a real log, the hood is a coffered ceiling...mutated with exhaust pipes.
