Did you eat the cookies, the cheeseburger, or both?

(One of the best episodes ever of King of the Hill involved, as a side plot, Bill and Boomhauer discovering the joys of deep-frying and building their own deep-fat barrel. Bill says of fried bananas, "The monkeys must never know.")

We ate the deep fried cheeseburger, not the cookies. Though I heard the deep fried Nutter Butters were quite good.

I had been thinking beforehand that the deep fried cheeseburger was going to be an entire cheeseburger with the bun, sliced onion, ketchup etc., all battered and deep fried. Which sounded kinda gross but I just had to find out how they made the whole thing stick together in the deep fryer. Instead it was no bun, just a pre-cooked hamburger patty with a slice of cheese, battered and deep fried. On a stick of course. It looked like a big deep fried meat lollipop. It was good, although the oil wasn't quite hot enough and so it turned out a little greasy. Conceptually it was a good idea.
